Baravi Sawmilling: Sustainable Timber Solutions

We provide a variety of sustainable timber species, including select Fijian native timbers and introduced species, ensuring quality and environmental responsibility in our offerings. Depending on our harvesting program we will be offering Dakua makadre (Agathis vitiensis), Dakua salusalu (Decussocarpus vitiensis), Damanu (Calophyllum vitiense), Kaudamu (Myristica castaneifolia), Kauvula (Endorspermum macrophyllum), Laubu (Garcinia myrtiflora), Mavota (Gonystylus punctatus) and Sacau (Palaquium hornei) are in abundance and surrounded by some lesser-known native species as Bauvudi (Palaquium porphyreum), Kauceuti (Turrillia vitiensis) and Kaunigai (Haplolobus floribundus) to name a few.

Our logging practices are in compliance with the Fiji Forest Harvesting Code of Practice and guided by sustainable forestry principles, focusing on minimising environmental impact, preserving biodiversity, and adhering to local regulations to ensure the health of our forests for future generations. We will also be working in partnership with Fiji Forestry and the iTaukei landowners to ensure sustainable reforestation is undertaken.
